Although most famous for his novel Treasure Island, Scottish writer Robert Louis Stevenson’s writing spanned across multiple genres and styles, beginning in 1878 and ending about 20 years later. This 3 volume set is of the American reproductions from the beginning of the 19th century. They include;

An Inland Voyage - “Recounts a canoe trip Stevenson and his friend Sir Walter Grindlay Simpson made in 1876. Setting out from Antwerp, Stevenson (in the Arethusa) and Simpson (in the Cigarette) paddled through Belgium and France along canals and the Oise River. Travels with a Donkey in Cevennes - “Describes Stevenson’s hiking trip in the Cevennes, in South-Central France. The narrative largely focuses on Stevenson’s humorous descriptions of his stubborn travel companion, Modestine the donkey.” - RLS Website

Format: Half Leather with hand marbled paper on boards and endpapers. Gold gilt top edge, with uncut foredge and bottom edge.

Condition: Exceptional. Shows wear with flaws, but otherwise in very good condition.
