Everyman’s Library is a publishing house that reprints popular classics with style and quality. Founded in 1906 by master bookbinder turned publisher Joseph Dent. Thucydides’ “The History of the Peloponnesian War” Everyman’s Edition was first published in 1910. This copy is a 1948 reprint made in the UK with the 1874 translation by Richard Crawley.
Format: Clothbound Hardcover
Condition: Exceptional. Shows wear with flaws, but otherwise in very good condition. Contains marginalia on very few pages but are minor. Often overlooked, but these are specific to the previous owner who has made notes or markings on the side (margins), or underlined certain parts. This gives you a unique insight into the mind of another reader.
