Originally written in 1759 by French writer and philosopher Voltaire, the satirical novella “Candide” has not aged, and has been republished many times over. 

Modern Library first published their english translation of “Candide” in 1920, while this copy was printed in 1930. Contains an introduction by Phillip Littel, though it does not state if he is the translator. 

Format: Cloth with Thin Hardcover

*The top edge is dyed with color on purpose as a design and functional piece to prevent wear.

Condition:

Exceptional. Shows wear with flaws, but otherwise in very good condition.
