Success is not measured by the amount you produce, but by the good works you produce. So although I write intensely & profusely, I also chisel away most of the marble like a sculptor. Therefore the philosophies I have chosen to share in this book are expressed in very few but very deliberate words. Less than 10,000 words to be precise, while all the other words as the adage goes, are on the cutting room floor. They have however taken a lifetime to cultivate and understand. If I am being honest, I still don’t understand the true depths of some of my writing. The hope is that it’ll move your mind, heart and or spirit. If it moves all three, then what more can I say.

Writing aside, the making of a book is another world. It was not my intention for these meditations, which are my contemplative expressions on various subjects, to become a book, let alone one for the public to read. But when the words started to take shape into one, I felt compelled to eventually share the fruits beyond my bloodline, and I knew right away how I would present it to the world; Hardcover physical books only. There is a very special, personal, tactile, and visceral experience with physical books that you cannot get with digital formats, including the color, shape, texture, weight and more, that when put together evoke emotions and alter your reading experience. With this in mind, the production naturally went beyond the making of an ordinary book, but one with a sense of creativity, artistry, functionality and durability. This also meant that no effort was too grand, no material was off limits, and all ideas were at least entertained, with the time from concept to production culminating at one year. Hence all copies of this Limited First Edition are individually handcrafted using modern tools and time honored traditions, not only for the love of books, but for the love of human capabilities. A book has the potential of being so much more than we realize, as the Christian maxim “per verbum ad verbum” sums it up; “Through the written word to the Word Divine”. 

What mattered most in the end though, was if the final product pleased my Lord, not what others thought about how the book should be made. I produced the best with what I had and accepted what was not in my control. Therefore all aspects of Sharing Philosophies were carefully decided by me and it is with absolute joy to be so intimately involved in the production of this book, for not only did I get to write it, but by the grace of God, I got to help make it and bring it to life.
